The college is the reward we get for surviving high school. My reward - the NIT Raipur college campus is spared over an area of 100 acres, insufficient to have hostels built to accommodate all its students.These students keep cursing the authorities time to time for this reason. It's claimed that NITRR has the largest main entrance (the one you see in the picture above) among all the engineering institutes of the nation. Of course it may be true, but we have always wondered whether it really makes sense. Ya, the title? The students don't need any explanation. For others, leme apprise you that every fest held in the college is central India's largest fest (though we later came to know that every institute of the central India claims this).  Nevertheless, the fests are the only time when the institute deserves to be called a college. June 10, 2k19 "Amarkantak final??", "Haa, final !!" It didn't take us more than half an hour scratching our heads and deciding this tourist spot. Although Thakur's expectation had already fallen from Shimla, he was finally satisfied with this choice.  The Safar kept us together for exact 24 hrs, right from stepping out at 4:00 in the morning and returning the next day. After reaching the town and passing by a series of villages, we reached our destination at an elevation of more than 1000 m.  The major attractions of Amarkantak include the Narmada kund, Shiv Yantra Temple and others, and some waterfalls. Forget 'dugdh' in the 'dhara', we didn't find enough water flowing to call it a waterfall. Well, this was something you can expect, particularly in this time of the year. April 2k16 - May 2k19 The purpose of life is a life of purpose. True indeed. The only timeline in my life (hitherto) which had a purpose attached to it. With the "engineering Karni hi hai, toh acche college se kyu Nahi", wala mindset ,all set to be a part of this rat race. I had no idea this is gonna be much more than just a three hour exam. Doesn't matter which college I ended up in, even after dropping an year, the JEE Safar will always remain a great teacher for me.    

Feb. 2k18 Being PCM students, we know how important basics are (particularly when you are a JEE aspirant 😒) Anyways, this is one of the last (and, my favourite too) pic of class XII sec D, OPJS, Raigarh , batch of 2k18 . together after the farewell. We, the four of backbenchers- me, thakur (Pratik) , Nikhil, and Sonu (Aman ), had a special bro-bonding (which, I consider to be stronger than the chemical bond😅) amongst us and hence, I got 3 boon companions for my ' safar '.
