Keeping heads (Part III)
“Be willing to have it so..."
Acceptance of what has happened is the first step in overcoming the consequences of any misfortune.
Allow yourself to feel what you’re feeling — and know that it’s not your fault
Depression and anxiety disorders are medical conditions. They aren't the result of something you did or didn’t do.
(State of mind, I told you already)
Do something that you have control over or like making your bed or taking out the trash or that which gives you comfort, such as watching a favourite movie or flipping through a magazine.
Just get out of that dark zone. Just distract yourself.
Distraction is a necessary evil.
What do most of us do when we are caught up in an anxious situation?
Pick up our phone and connect with our friends or family. Right?
Because we know this provides a natural boost and lets us find a reliable source of support and encouragement.
If you’re up for it, go for a walk or jog around the block.
The simple Moto is to get out, before it gets late.
I know it can be tough but try your best to get into a daily routine and fix up a sleeping schedule.
Be serious when your friend comes to you and wants you to give an ear to his/her problem. Try to be practical.
"Chor na Yaar", "Tu jyada sochta hai.", "Sabke Saath hota hai".
These are not the solutions to a problem. They are called avoiding the problem, only to turn it into a life threatening issue.
Never make your folks feel forlorn. Stay connected. Feel free to discuss difficulties and worries with atleast your close ones.
“The secret of being miserable is to have the leisure to bother about whether you are happy or not.”
The following is an excerpt from "How to stop worrying and start living" by Dale Carnegie, I read recently:
Whether in war or peace, the chief difference between good thinking and bad thinking is this: good thinking deals with causes and effects and leads to logical, constructive planning; bad thinking frequently leads to tension and nervous breakdowns.
Let us devote our life to worth-while actions and feelings, to great thoughts, real affections and enduring undertakings.
"For life is too short to be little.”

This is a great and practical advice! These tips may be helpful to avoid the mistakes we generally make. Waiting for some more such articles!
