TB#02: Fire in the Sky
Do not look at Agni
As an entity directed upward
To deter the ominous
Or exhibit your might.
It is fire
In the heart of an Indian.
Do not even give it
The form of a missile
As it clings to the
burning pride of this nation
and thus is bright.
The missile man, the people's president - This is the story of a boy from a humble background who went on to become a key player in the Indian space research and later became the 11th president of India.
His journey from the Mosque street in Rameshwaram to the Rashtrapati Bhawan has been intensively sketched.
The story of his life is unfolded in
sections presented one after : Orientation, Creation, Propitiation and
Contemplation.
Well for me, it contained just 2
sections :
The first half that I could read
swiftly not caring about the page count.
The second one, which turned out to
be tedious to continue. Had to drag till the end. (No offense please). The reason
being the sophisticated technicalities which Kalam explains about rocketry. Though
he has pulled out all the stops, it’s cumbersome for a layman to catch.
Being STRAIGHTFORWARD, you should consider reading only the 1st half and forget about the rest. Read it cover to cover only if you have a strong knack for rocketry.
Although this book didn’t touch me to
much an extent, but it surely was a breakthrough in the making of an avid
reader.
You may not appreciate the content as
a whole but I bet, you’ll definitely like the short verses penned down throughout
the book in accordance with the contexts.
Here’s one of such.

Literally on 🔥
