Yorkers, Bouncers aur Life

Aur bata?!

Yaaaar….kuch accha bata naaa!!!

In the omnipresent scenario, this is toughest and most demanding question (besides oxygen cylinders and hospital beds) to come up with something positive.

Optimism has to be found out just the way shots have to be dug out from Yorkers in ‘death’ overs.

An accidental global experiment forced upon by an invisible virus left no other option than to duck at the unpredictable bouncers it has been throwing since last year. This has proved itself to be that bowler bowling at its ‘peak’ whose lethal overs are meant to be escaped by being defensive.

Hobson’s choice (a choice of taking what is available or nothing at all), otherwise it’s a “You Miss, I Hit” case. Especially when already enough have been ‘annihilated’ back to the pavilion.

“How many deaths will it take ‘till we know that too many people have died?”

Hospitals and crematoriums are reaching their maximum alongside the maximums being smashed onto stands and outa stadiums.

Is it so easy to escape the influences of our surroundings when the lives of our family, friends (and foes) are currently in the state of ‘provisional’ existence? Positivity does not occur by ignoring the negativity but by overcoming it.

“How many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see?”

Still, here we survive in the middle of Time-Outs, in the brief relaxation periods to discuss strategies for the innings ahead.

Because life reinvigorates in the boundaries between Yorkers and bouncers. We all manage to find gaps somehow keeping hopes alive. Positivity sprouts in one form or another… in a random phone call, in music, dance, in a painting, in love, care, support or even finally refilling to pen down something!!

I must say I have no idea where this will end. In fact, no one does.

Whatever happens, there will always be…

statistics.
